Zeus will release its sophomore album, Busting Visions, March 27.
Recorded between the band's Ill Eagle Studio and the ranch studio of label mate Feist, Busting Visions is a sweaty romp of a record, oozing cool, with fuzzed-out riffs, razor-sharp hooks and harmonies galore.
The band will preview material from the album this February during a handful of Canadian dates with Sam Roberts Band and a trio of headline shows in Boston (2/22), New York (2/23), and Brooklyn (2/24).

Zeus - the instrument-swapping Mike O'Brien, Carlin Nicholson, Neil Quin and Rob Drake - have wasted no time earning high profile fans and collaborators, from members of Broken Social Scene to Bahamas.
"Just one of the three singers/multi-instrumentalists from this band would be a force to reckoned with," says Jason Collett. "Having three songwriters this talented gives Zeus an almost unfair edge over other bands. Plus, Neil Quin has the best rock 'n' roll voice I’ve heard in 20 years."
The band's debut album, Say Us, topped the CBC radio charts, garnered a Polaris Prize nomination, won the XM The Verge award for Album of the Year, earned rave reviews and led to dates with Belle & Sebastian, Broken Social Scene, Metric, and many others.

To go on tour at the final throes of recording an album is actually really amazing... you can't change anything - even if you want to and it basically forces you to gain perspective on these many tracks that have dominated your life in submersion. This tour also marks Zeus' first attempt at driving the Euro slice on our own.. it was bound to happen - may as well be now. .."

Zeus will support The Sam Roberts Band for a handful of dates this Spring, including a second date at Massey Hall, which has just been added.
The band will play June 3 & 4 at the prestigious Toronto venue, before heading south of the border for three additional shows. Tickets for the second Massey Hall show go on sale April 15 at 10AM EST.
April 16 marks Record Store Day, an international celebration of your favourite physical music retailers and the songs they so lovingly sell.
In Toronto, one of the biggest celebrations of that Saturday will take place at Sonic Boom, where Zeus will perform at 8PM. The band will also be offering specials on various releases and other merchandise.

Mere days after the one-year anniversary of the release of the band’s critically-lauded debut Say Us, Zeus took home the XM The Verge Music Award for Album of the Year at the Mod Club in Toronto Tuesday night.
The $25,000 prize is yet another feather in the cap of the T.O. rock outfit, and comes alongside exciting news regarding the band’s second release in an ongoing series of Double A-side 7-inches - Permanent Scar / The Darkness - out April 12 on Arts & Crafts.
“Permanent Scar” is another harmony-laden rock and roll gem fronted by Carlin Nicholson, which was recorded at the band’s own Ill Eagle Studio and mixed by Robbie Lackritz (Feist).
“The Darkness” is a unique Mike O’Brien effort, a thoughtful and moody track that marks a departure from much of Zeus’ material. The song was recorded by Lackritz at Catherine North.
Artwork for the 7-inch was done by Adam Makarenko, who co-directed the band’s video for “Marching Through Your Head” and by Mike O’Brien and Greg Quin.
The first edition in the 7-inch series - Hot Under The Collar / Aeroplane - was released on December 7, 2010.
The 7-inch series is an idea born from 1960s rock traditions and the heroes that inspire the band’s infectious style. Zeus’ constant writing and recording presents the perfect means for continually satiating the band’s ravenous fan base. Expect much more from Zeus in the months to come. In the meantime...
